The former Faroe Islands Trade Council (Menningarstovan), Faroese Fisheries Laboratory (Fiskirannsóknarstovan), and Food, Environmental & Veterinary Agency (Heilsufrøðiliga Starvsstovan) have as a result of a compiled study written a booklet in English titled “An Index of Faroese Cod”. The booklet is also available in Faroese too.

The booklet describes the two independent codfish-stocks in Faroese water, their growth, feeding and fishing. The booklet contains a short description of the study results on nutritional value, fatty acids composition, minerals and trace elements, vitamins, amino acids, heavy metals and some organ chlorines.
